I am looking for the name of a film from the ?late 1940's, The plot goes something like this. A woman marries a man who goes off to war and is killed. She finds that she is pregnant with his child. thinking that no-one will believe that she was married, but is having a child out of wedlock, she concocts a scheme to "find" her own child on her doorstep and she would adopt him. Plans goes awry when a close friend's newborn infant dies suddenly, and her own son is given to the poor woman. Now she can't figure out a way to tell the truth without devastating her friend. So she becomes the godmother to the baby and must watch while her son is raised by others. He does find out in the end and all's well that ends well. What is the movie title???
