British miniseries from (I'm guessing)the late 90's or so, set just before WWI through (I think) the end of the war. It's a coming-of-age story about a girl, beginning in her childhood and following her through adulthood. Lots of shots in the countryside and by the sea. I remember that she spends time with two men (brothers or friends?), and looses her virginity to one in an old cottage, while the other, a doctor, is in love with her. When the war begins, she enlists, and they're separated throughout the war, but manage to come together in the very end of the series. I saw this on netflix about two years back, and have never been able to remember the name or find it anywhere!
