Title Help

Hi,I'm looking for the title of the British mini-series drama show probably from 80's. The title was connected with a woman/lady wearing a black or red (cannot remember!) veil or scarf. I think it rather must have been a veil as it was an element of mystery. The woman was mysterious and her face was unseen. Does it ring any bells? I would be very grateful for the suggestions.
