I remember watching this within the last ten years...set in England...young man goes to get some kind of financial help perhaps from an uncle ...maybe to keep his family home. In the end there is a scene where he is walking up to the house and there is abeautiful narrated qoute about knowing your life is a treasure or something. I do not believe that it is nicholas nickleby. The main character may be a writer.
