Yes! Wow, I'm impressed with whoever you are. Armed with your brilliance, I found the movie online and skipped on through to the WWII party scene with the flags. And it seems that the one time I'd seen it on TV decades ago I'd been so stunned and amused by the 20-years-too-early Canadian flag that I'd missed the US flag being more than 30 years out of date. It looks to be the old 45 star flag which went away in 1908. One can at least excuse that by saying, hey, it was wartime England and they used the only flag they had. That of course doesn't quite work with the maple leaf flag. Oops. So, thanks again!
