I watched a movie a long time ago about a young rich boy who was in high school and played basketball. He has an accident during a game and really hurts his head and has to go through a lot of physical therapy. He falls in love with a girl that works in her mother's diner and she becomes pregnant. The young man's father and mother want their son to marry a rich girl from his school. His father is very abusive to the young man and the father does everything short of killing the boy to try to get him to marry who they want and work with the father on their farm or cattle ranch. The rich young girl helps him to trick their families in believe that they are getting married however, the poor girl that is pregnant comes out at the last minute and they get married. They have a son and end up living with his family.
