ok, we think this may be some 20+ years old. All I remember is a woman and child, on very hard times, set in 17 or 1800s is told for £1 she gets a plot of land in which to build a new life. She takes the offer, to leave her drunk abbusive husband, and it turns out to be a large tend , she stays, falls for another person there, her hubby tracks her down, and I cant remember the rest
