I'm looking for a film or period drama where a woman in a candy shop falls in love with a customer and they soon get married against his parent's wishes. Later he dies from some disease and his parents kick her out, but luckily his isolated brother takes her in. He has a scar on his face so he doesn't like going out, but he soon enjoys spending time with his deceased brother's wife. They fall in love, but can't get married because there is a law that doesn't allow a widow to marry her brother-in-law. Eventually the law changes and the screen shows an old picture of the two with their children and grandchildren.
