This movie is an old during/after the war movie set in old British or maybe American country style living with a father who returns from war and takes a can of jam out of his suitcase and eats it in front of the family as they sit terrified that it might be poisoned then later in the movie the girls sneak out of the house to go dancing and have their younger brothers draw lines on their stockings/leggings then another scene where they've moved abroad to a countryside and one of the girls is pregnant and the father may not approve of the soldier suitor then another scene where a little boy steels a peach from the grandfathers tree and he chases him shouting. Anyone know this one?
