It's a two-parts movie, or miniseries, set in victorian fashion. Plot: girl lives with uncle or something, and helps with the library work. They have a maid, which is not allowed within the library (is told to stay "behind the line" - htere's a line drawn on the floor). Later in the movie you find out it's a pornographic library. The girl runs away with a man, who turns out to be a jerk and plots a scheme to make the maid be sent to a sanatorium. She manages to escape and rescue the girl, though; in the end, as the uncle died, the girl inherits the state and they form a lesbian couple.
I've wanted to know the title for -years-. It was aired on HBO or Cinemax mid-to-late 2000s. I greatly appretiate any effort.
