A long time ago, I saw a movie about a really plain girl, who had a secret crush on a very handsome and conceited guy. I think the girl might have been a servant. The guy was engaged to a beautiful and well-to-do girl, but when he went off to war, he returned badly disfigured. The rich girl is horrified and dumps him. The poor girl is kind to him and they fall in love. There was something about the cottage that was magic and caused them to see each other as being attractive while they were in it. When other people visited, they were seen to them as they really were, but no one said anything and the couple stayed very happy. Anyone know the title?
