Title Help

In the 70s or 80s, I saw a movie on TV (not sure if it was made for TV)that left a lasting impression with me. I can't recall the title, though. It was about a young boy of maybe 12, who accidentally shot his older brother when they were climbing through a fence on an early morning hunting trip. The boy's feelings sort of shut down and while his parents are grieving the death of the older boy, the younger one is more or less forgotten. He gets on a bus and runs away to some girl who had been kind to him. He ends up on a bus back home and watches a young mother and her baby. He sits beside the lady and finally breaks down and tells her what happened. I think the young mother contacts his parents and it all ends well. I sure would like to know the title. Please help if you can.
