i saw a programme in the early 80,s about a plain frumpy dour lady who meets a man and they fall in love. she starts to take more care of her appearance and even a waitress remarks that she looks a lot nicer than the man,s aunty he usually has tea with not realising that its actually still the same woman. i am not sure what happens to the man but the woman has becomes pregnant and she does,nt want the baby so she either as a miscarriage or she aborts her own baby. it was a british tv programme, not sure if it was a one off drama or a mimi series.
