i saw a black and white film years ago. there is a girl who is poor and maybe homeless. she is painted by a painter at this point she meets and falls in love with a young gentleman who needs to marry money she marrys a man who is abusive and her loyal maid kills him with a coal shovel then commits suicide the girl marrys again pregant by her first husband second husband dies and a noble man is intrested in marrying her she has a son through all this she is still in contact with the young she loves
