Title Help

Please help! I watched a movie a looong time ago on tv, it was about a woman who is separated from her daughter, I believe she is a prostitute and she starts posing for a painter whom she marries but then he dies of smallpox I believe. In the end she is reunited with her daughter. I think the title is the name of the main character but I can't remember please help!
