The movie I'm trying to piece together goes as such: either black and white or technicolor classic; wartime. An Army feller (young good looking, rich gentleman) meets a poor woman that I think ran away or was run out of her town. She got a job as a "dancer" at a joint the soldiers went to, she was the highest paid there but SHE ONLY PLAYED CHECKERS. The soldier and her eat lunch at some fancy country club and he socks some guy for getting mouthy with her- he was in uniform and was about to get thrown in the brig but explained, then the guy he punched got "handled" by the MPs. The rest is blurry in my head but I think she saved up all her makings and bought old factories or land and became rich... PLEASE HELP
