I saw a movie about a year ago about a little girl who got lost, or her parents got killed, while fleeing an attack on her village (somewhere in Europe). she walked alone for a while but finally was found by wandering and was brought home to a poor family with a young son about her age. They quickly hit it off became as sister and brother. The boy has an older sister who is in love with a young man from the village who is at home, A.W.O.L. from his army unit.
