I remember only a couple of scenes from this beautiful movie that I watched about 15 years ago now so will try to describe them: a woman gets pregnant with a young son of an aristocrat. She falls ill and dies after giving birth to a baby girl. The son promised to someone the mansion house and the father gives it away because the son gave his word. One of the final scenes of the film is when this child (already around 6) is playing in a park by the pond and this aristocrat (the son) meets some woman. In a meanwhile there is a scene of climbing a cliff using a rope and a man wanting his revenge hits the rope with a sharp stone. I'm sorry but that's all I remember because I was quite young when I watched it. It is a beautiful film.
