I watched this movie about 20 years ago. It was about an American Indian girl who got pregnant from a white boy. The white family made her give them the baby. It was incredibly sad when she had to give up her baby. The actress who portrayed the Indian girl became a very popular actress - but, she wasn't popular at the time. I guess she was just starting her career. It seems the title was something like Winter People or Snow People. I have searched for these titles though and nothing comes up.
