So, this movie is about women who pass down a mirror as a heirloom from generation to generation, starting with a mother and a daughter travelling to America. The mother dies giving her daughter the mirror and the rest of the movie is narrated by the granddaughter. The girl became a woman, she married, her husband was a doctor, she had a little girl, but she became pregnant again and died on childbirth. The girl got a camera as a gift and she befriended a Native American boy. Later, she had to leave her land and there was a scene when the boy followed her train on his horse, and she took pictures. She goes in town, where she meets a photographer, she gets pregnant, but leaves the man(or the man leaves her) and she struggles to make ends meet.
