Hi I think this was possibly a BBC Drama, but I can't be sure. A girl lives in a village and is pressured by her parents to marry a doctor who has recently moved there, even though she is in love with a man she has known all of her life. She marries the doctor but he is unfaithful and she ends up going to find her love who lives in a small house in the woods. Eventually her love dies. (I remember loads of rain and a large coat and she ends up hugging the dead body of the bloke on the floor of the hut). If anyone can help from my rather dodgy description, then thanks :)
