I'm searching for the title of a British period drama. The heroine starts off as a poor per diem secretary to a wealthy woman. This woman's nephew, an older military officer, then asks her to be his wife. They marry but go off to live in the country, quite far from the nearest village. The husband is called overseas to do battle, but his cousin and his Indian wife and mother-in-law conspire to murder her so he can inherit the family fortune.
