I'm so glad to have found this site. I saw a movie in the late 1940's or early 1950's B/W, a widower with a son - woman wants man and at some point puts poison is child's chocolate (?) milk, which he knocks over, spilling the milk.
This made a big impression on me and I'd love to know what movie it is. I always thought it was Bing Crosby, but think I must be mistaken.
