The closest movie I can think of is "The Wings Of The Dove" 1997 with Helena Bonham Carter. The story involves one rich woman who is dying and her poor friend who secretly sets her up with her own poor fiancé hoping the rich woman will fall for the fiancé before she dies and leave him money.
