It is a book about an artistic girl goes out with a man and he ends up seducing her and impregnating her. To avoid ruin her family sends her abroad (I think France) expecting her to have the baby and give it up for adoption. She refuses to give the baby up, the man back in America finds out and goes abroad to locate her. He finds her through her art and then brings her back to America. They move into a hotel until other accommodations can be made. He seduces her but then also wants her love so he takes her to a gallery to demonstrate his love for her. I have not read this for a very long time but those are the points I remember, if you can assist with the title I would truly appreciate it!
