Title Help

I'm looking for the title of a b/w movie (40's/50's). Two women (sisters?) host a man in their home, they fight over him. The man runs away but later returns to town because he lost his necktie, asks directions, is told that the women have been dead for a long time, the house is ruined and he finds his tie in the house and relaizes it was true.The plot is very similar to “Return to Glennascaul” with Orson Welles. Sorry, but that’s all I have, thanks in advance!
