Need to know title, doctor takes his lover to hide in a American city. Maybe he killed his wife or patient, it is black and white , possibly 1940 or could be 1950 . I may have got this mixed up but, a boat takes them off to safety but police catch up with them, a love film but sad ending, been looking for this film over 30years, thankyou if you can help me. May even be a doctor from England trying to escape arrest?
