Title Help

I am trying to find the name of the LVN movie that was about a man with a young son who became involved with a young woman who grew to love the little boy and he her as a mother.
The couple broke up and the boy wanted to be with the woman but the dad wouldn't let him. Later the woman wrote a novel about the little boy and his name was in the title. I would love to watch it again but can't remember the actors or the title. Think it came out in the middle 2000's.
