Please help me figure out the name of a book where a young American girl is infatuated with a man (I think they both live in New York), and they have a one time sexual encounter. She then becomes pregnant so her parents ship her to Europe to have the baby and then give it up for adoption. She refuses to give the baby up for adoption and then the baby's father finds out and goes looking for her, he finds her through her art at a gallery. When he finds her and the baby he takes them back to America where they live in a hotel suite together while he attempts to woo her. I cannot remember the books name if you could help me that would be great.
