Title Help

I'm looking for a 19th C French play about a man who went to drop off his child on a church because he couldn't take care of it (him/her, not sure of gender of the child). When he got there, he found another baby had been left there by someone else; he ends up taking both babies home. Someone thought "Les Deux Orphelines" by D'Ennery, but those orphans are grown up, so that's not it. Any help would be much appreciated!
