Title Help

I am looking for the name of a movie I saw maybe 35-40 years ago. I think it was a black and white movie. It was about a young American girl who, against her parents wishes, was in love with a Japanese American boy. It was set during the time Japanese Americans were relocated to internment camps during WWII. All I can remember was that the couple had a rendezvous on a beach and after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, the boy and his family were placed in one of the camps. I have searched for the title of this movie for years with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
