Hello I am looking for a book I read a while back.... the only part I can remember is its a group of women who are working during WWII. They attend the parties thrown for officers/soldiers and one of them enters into a relationship with one. The men leave and this woman ends up pregnant. They receive a letter that he has been killed. When the woman finds out she is pregnant she and a friend go and search for this mans relatives to tell them that she is carrying his child. When they locate his home they find out he not only is not dead but is in fact either married or engaged I cant remember..... any idea?
