I think it's a French film. Young boy and girl (13 years old?) by a lake or the ocean. I think one of them is a runaway, and one lives with an older woman caregiver. The boy and girl fall in love. I think she might get pregnant. I seem to remember a sequel to the movie, where they're older, still together, with a baby and struggling to make it. Might have seen it on Pbs TV in the late 70's.
