ok...I knew the answer below but now I am searching..this movie was a love story..British I think...A woman( possibly a librarian)begins written correspondence with a man she has never met...they send letters back and forth to eachother and begin to fall in love..the the woman, I believe makes the trip to finally meet him and he has died...I might have the ending mixed up but I do remember it was sad...
